It was a bumpy road but BOOM are back to their championship winning ways.

The Philippines Kings League playoffs certainly had its surprises but despite that, BOOM Esports could not be denied as they are the PKL Spring 2026 champions. They took down upstarts Team Flash PH 4-2 to claim their second PKL trophy.

The regular season was looking like business as usual for the PKL as BOOM and Blacklist International were sitting at the top two. The two HoK titans were easy favorites to become PKL Spring 2026 champions but other teams had different plans.

Team Flash ended the season right at the middle of the standings and barely scraping into the playoffs. People were counting them out even after they made it past the play-ins but that all changed after their stunning 4-1 victory against BOOM in the upper bracket semifinals. And to prove it wasn’t a fluke they also beat Blacklist 4-3 to make it to the grand finals.

This meant that BOOM and Blacklist would have their fated rivalry matchup in the lower bracket finals. An odd twist considering the strength of both these teams. BOOM however got the better of Blacklist, defeating them 4-1 to face Team Flash for the PKL trophy.

Right from the start of grand finals, it was clear that BOOM were not underestimating Team Flash’s capabilities. They took an early 2-0 lead in the series but Team Flash were able to rally together to tie it 2-2.  BOOM however had veterancy on their side and, with a few adjustments and a steady approach, took two more games over Team Flash to seal themselves as the PKL Spring 2026 champions.
