Is there still hope for the former world champions’ season?

Team Falcons’ coach Moody has an incredibly tough road ahead of him, as he’s tasked with stopping his new team’s free-falling season.

Formerly from Team Liquid Academy, the MPL announced his transfer to Team Falcons ahead of week six. Known for his organizational skills, coach Moody was clearly brought in to help right the ship in Team Falcons. However, could this be a case of too-little-too-late?

“As a team, parang wala na masyado akong kailangan iambag,” said Team Falcons’ coach Moody. “But additionally parang marami din at the same time. So ang hirap din sabihin.”

Of course, no one expected a sudden turnaround with the coach only having a few days with the team. But even with those few days, he already sees that a lot of work needs to be done on the team.

“Individually, they really need to work a lot,” continued Team Falcons’ coach Moody. “Ngayon lang sila nakukuha ng grasp kung saan sila comfortable sa patch. I think marami pa kailangan i-discuss.”

And now that Team Falcons have suffered another 0-2 week, their chances of making it to the playoffs is becoming slimmer and slimmer.

Siguro ito na yung aming panic button. We really need to win all our games and somehow hindi pa rin namin hawak kung makakapasok kami sa playoffs. Regarding their moral – kudos talaga sa kanila. They show up everyday kasi yun yung mahalaga sa kanila pero it’s not that high. Parang mababa na din.”

A Complete Reset

There really is no sugarcoating how dire Team Falcons’ situation is. The inconsistency and desperation in their play has been palpable throughout the season, and it seems to have stemmed from one event.

“In my personal opinion, with the changes after the patch and after their loss sa SIBOL, parang sunod-sunod na,” said Team Falcons’ coach Moody. “Pababa na yung thread nila imbis na paangat and they really need a hard reset. I really believe na kaya pa rin nila sumabay sa mga high caliber teams ngayon.

Now, how are you supposed to get a ‘complete reset’ when there’s only two weeks left in the regular season? Coach Moody’s deep sigh and chuckle really says it all.

“I guess ako na lang yung maga-adapt sa kanila since champions sila and I doubt na umabot sila dito na hindi nila kaya mag reverse sweep sa mga bad scenarios. Pero honestly, ang hirap.

But regardless of the situation, the work continues. Coach Moody now has more time with team ahead of their remaining games and it seems that despite the circumstances, he and the team have no intentions of giving up.

Siguro ang goal namin right now is still to hit playoffs and we’ll take it from there. Pero confident ako na kaya pa rin,” said Team Falcons’ coach Moody. “Hangga’t hindi sila sumusuko sa sarili nila, hindi ako susuko sa kanila. Kaya pa to.
