Out of the five sets in their collection, these are truly something special.
As this year’s League of Legends World Championship draws closer to us, we finally get a look at the 2024 T1 Worlds skins. After nearly a year of waiting, we get to see the fifth iteration of the legendary organization’s championship skins.
This year’s champions were chosen by popular vote. Former T1 Top Laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je was given Gnar and Jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun got Vi. Meanwhile, the botlane duo of Lee “Gumaysi” Min-Hyung and Ryu “Keria” Mins-seok got Varus and Pyke respectively.
Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok of course gets Yone for his fifth Worlds skin. And for being the finals MVP, he gets a special Prestige skin for Sylas. This now actually puts Faker up to nine skins that are dedicated to his achievements.
As usual, Riot Games has included some fun references to the 2024 T1 Worlds skins referencing their championship run. Gumayusi’s Varus skin takes a bite out of croissant, similar to his victory against Gen.G Esports in the semifinals in France. Zeus’ Gnar skin bonks his head on the Worlds trophy just like in his grand finals celebration. And of course, Faker’s Yone skin does his iconic hushing pose in his recall animation.
On the whole, the 2024 T1 Worlds skins have a different aura compared to the rest. While all Worlds skins try to encapsulate the glory of the winning team’s achievement, this batch goes a bit harder than that. This iteration of T1 doesn’t just feel like champions, they feel like a final boss that a team needs to beat if they want to be worthy of raising the Summoner’s Cup.
The 2024 T1 Worlds skins will be available in the upcoming patch 25.18.
