Success doesn’t come instantly, and everyone on Aurora knows that for a fact.

Through all the trials, tribulations, and doubters, Aurora Gaming PH stand at the top of the MLBB world as M7 world champions. M7 was full of surprises but few predicted that the team once known to be international chokers would now be known as world champions.

In an interview with the media, Aurora Gaming PH’s coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani expressed his gratitude towards everyone who always believed in them through the highs and lows.

Sobrang masaya ako kasi nakabawi na kami sa mga boss namin, sa management namin, sa lahat ng tao naniwala sa amin. Thankful talaga kami sa kanila kasi hindi sila bumitaw kahit hindi pa kami nananalo.

That last statement sticks out as prior to M7, Aurora Gaming PH has only ever been runner ups in the tournaments and leagues they’ve participated in. Winning the world championship as their first tournament victory is quite the statement. But everyone on Aurora knows exactly how difficult that road was.

Mahirap siya kasi sobrang dami ng sacrifices, ng hard work,” said Jungler Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto. “Matagal ko na siya gusto magawa, so I guess now lang talaga yung perfect time na ma-achieve siya.

“It was tough,” mused Roamer and Finals MVP Dylan “Light” Catipon. “I’ve been chasing this since season nine. Sobrang dami ng learnings and challenges. There were times na I thought I couldn’t make it to the world stage. But with hard work, discipline, and sacrifice, I still believe anything is possible.”

Power of Preparation

It can’t be overstated how big Aurora Gaming PH’s win was over Indonesia’s Alter Ego, especially with a 4-0 sweep. Many were already predicting Alter Ego to be the M7 champions after their impressive lower bracket run. But even with all that momentum, Aurora were already ready for them.

“I think [Alter Ego coach Kenny “Xepher” Deo] is one of the best coaches in M7,” said coach MtB. “Because everyone was surprised with what he was doing. Alter Ego are a very unique team with their own style of MLBB. Unfortunately, since we were able to beat them in the upper bracket finals we were already able to determine their weakness.”

Coach MtB has always believed in the power of preparation and fine tuning. He’s resisted calls for swapping players because not only did he know that his players had what it takes to become champions but that the process he and the team established was enough to carry them to victory.

“It’s not about getting better players or superstars then expecting to become champions,” said coach MtB. “That’s not the right way and there’s no easy way. And I don’t think you can make someone a champion if they play as five individuals. It’s really about trusting the process on how they can play as a team.”

And with the power of trust, Aurora Gaming PH has silenced the doubters. As a team, they were able to overcome all obstacles and become world champions.
