The two-time world champion coach is back to steer his boys to the right direction.
MPL PH S17 is going to be a big season for Team Falcons PH as coach Ducky is back to lead them out of their rut and back into championship form. The two-time world champion coach spent the majority of 2025 as the head of the Southeast Asia Esports for Team Falcons but now coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro has been called back to right the ship with their MPL PH team.
“I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t excited,” said Team Falcons’ coach Ducky. “I’m really excited to see what MPL PH season 17 has in store for us. Generally, I really want to see how this new team will fare against the likes of Team Liquid, ONIC Philippines, and the rest of them because they’re extremely strong from what I’ve heard. I’m excited, and anxious, but really I’m more excited.”

It should come as no surprise then that when we asked if he missed being able to directly coach a team his answer was a resounding yes.
“I actually had the chance to do this as well with the MENA team but it fell through. Things happened that we couldn’t control. But what I definitely missed the most was having these conversations with the team, the players, and other teams and players as well. Getting insights from different players and coaches, talking about the game with them, that’s what I really missed the most.”
Bringing Back What Falcons Lost
The energy is certainly different in the Team Falcons camp. The team is less tense and more confident with coach Ducky back in the mix. But one can’t help but compare this situation to the one that happened with ONIC Indonesia and Paul “Yeb” Miranda. Yeb was a championship winning coach and was promoted to a higher position within ONIC. This caused their MLBB team’s performance to suffer, which prompted him to return and help fix the team’s issues.
While coach Ducky can only speak for Team Falcons, he noticed that the team lacked discipline since his departure. This was something that he specialized in back when he was leading the team and without his presence, the team just lost focus overall.

“I think they were also lacking that creative mindset last season,” added Team Falcons’ coach Ducky. “To have the ability to express themselves at every point in the game. And having that father figure to tell them to do this, do that, stop doing this, stop doing that. That was something very important to them.”
Sometimes a team needs more than just better strategies and practice. There are intangible things that allow teams to perform at their best, something that coach Ducky can provide.
“So here we are. Everyone’s been welcoming me back and asking how I’ve been doing coming back to coaching these boys. I always say that I’m trying to stay out of jail, because everyday I’m trying to stop myself from killing them!”
We certainly can’t wait to see how high Team Falcons will soar.
