Five M7 Teams to Watch in the World Championships
Everyone always brings their A-game during the M-Series but we’re expecting these five teams to go beyond that.
MLBB is starting 2026 with a bang as only one of the 16 M7 teams will emerge as a new world champion.
As the best MLBB teams from around the world gather at Jakarta, Indonesia, there are five that we’re keeping our eyes on. Whether it’s through sheer dominance or surprising upsets, we expect these five M7 teams to make a splash this tournament.
Evil

Starting off this list is a team from Singapore that keeps it short and to the point. Evil may not be familiar to most fans but they’re no pushovers in MPL Singapore. Since their founding in 2022, they’ve been championship contenders with multiple podium finishes. But it’s only now that they’ve been able to break through Team Flash to get themselves an MPL trophy and an M-Series debut.
They’ve proven themselves to be a very tenacious team. After all, they lost to Team Flash in the upper bracket finals only to get their revenge on them with a 4-1 grand finals victory. Now we’ll see if that tenacity will hold up against the world class competition in M7
Team Spirit
Speaking of world class competition, it’s not an M-Series without the faces of the CIS region, Team Spirit. Among the M7 teams, this one is the one we can truly say is timeless as Roamer Stanislav “SAWO” Reshniak and Mid Laner Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov are now on their sixth M-Series appearance. Their veterancy is well earned and they’ve proven time and again that they’re real world champion contenders.
An interesting fact about the team, however, is that they’ve been able to place higher and higher in the M-Series throughout their different iterations. It was only last year where they were halted, placing fourth again after getting swept by the Selangor Red Giants. Have Team Spirit plateaued or will they finally make a podium finish?
ONIC

Their sister teams and former world champions, ONIC Philippines, may not have made it to M7 but that doesn’t mean that ONIC is any less deadly. As the winningest team in all of Indonesia, they’re going to be fighting tooth and nail to make sure that the world championship finally returns to their hands.
With M7 being held on home turf and with their recent victory at Games of the Future 2025, there’s a lot of momentum behind ONIC. The other M7 teams need to watch out as the kings of Indonesia will not be playing around.
Selangor Red Giants
Malaysia’s shining star, the Selangor Red Giants, continue to prove their might as they’re constantly vying for MLBB supremacy. They successfully defended their IESF championship and with the core of the team winning silver during the 2025 SEA Games, the Giants are all warmed up for M7.
The real question is if they’ll finally be able to get over their nemesis which are the Philippine teams. Granted, the Philippines has always been the region to beat in MLBB esports. But that seems to be the final wall the Giants need to break through to secure their legacy. M7 will be another shot for them.
Team Liquid

And finally we have the unstoppable Cavalry, paving their Golden Road towards the Philippines’ sixth world championship. With their two MPL PH championships, MSC 2025 championship, and SEA Games gold medals, the M7 trophy is the only missing piece to Team Liquid’s dominant 2025 season.
Beyond that, this is Jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s chance to make history again and be the first three-time world champion. Considering that he was part of the first Filipino team to win an M-Series, winning M7 will be another note on the long list of why KarlTzy is the MLBB GOAT.
