The new Barangay is slowly but surely building back their synergy.
MPL PH S16 is a bit of a rebuilding season for Omega’s analyst SN4P, as the team is gradually getting to the point where they can challenge the MPL big hitters. With the near-full remake of their roster, analyst Allec “SN4P” Alberto has been focusing their efforts on getting the team in sync with each other.
“Getting them to work together is easy, actually,” said Omega’s analyst SN4P. “But the results, outcomes, and chemistry within the game, that’s the hard part. We’re still getting there. We’re, let’s say, 50 percent.”

When asked to expand on the difference between working together and synergy, SN4P says that “Working together is like — you need to build a relationship to work with each other. So yeah, [the team is] already good with each other. The synergy part is, even without shot calling, you know what the other person wants to do within the game. For me, that’s my definition of synergy. It’s more than just being good workmates.”
It is true that this current iteration of Omega, despite being a new roster, is made up of league veterans. You have players like M3 World Champion Salic “Hadji” Imam and MPL Malaysia veteran Kenneth “Nets” Barro in the team. On a professional level, they should have no problems working together. But in a league like the MPL PH, you need to go the extra mile if you want to rise up in the ranks.
“So for this regular season, hopefully we make it to playoffs,” said Omega’s analyst SN4P. “It’s a long process for us. We expected better results but besides that, I think that the team is on track.”
