Season 16 slipped through Omega’s hands but they’re determined to not let that happen again.
The goal for season 17 for Omega Esports is redemption as they’re more determined than ever to make it back to the playoffs through their own actions.
For a majority of last season, Omega Esports were a solid middle of the pack team with a good chance of entering the playoffs. But, whether through stagnation or other teams adapting, Omega found themselves slowly dropping out of the running. They finished seventh by the end of regular season and coach Hans “Wuraaaah” Solano describes that as a very hard moment for the team.
“Sobrang lungkot talaga yung last season,” coach Wuraaaah in an interview with the media.

It’s a nice sentiment, but Omega may have their work cut out for them. Aside from their new midlaner, Carl “Minguin” Gallantes, who was promoted from the MDL and acquiring John “Perkz” Sumawan, formerly Team Liquid’s sixth man, there hasn’t been any major upgrades to their roster.
May commitment kami to give yung best namin. Yun yung magiging weapon namin this season”
In any case, Omega Esports are definitely the underdogs entering MPL PH S17. But if there’s one thing underdogs have, it’s drive and we’ll see how the team uses that once the season starts.
