LOOK: The Formula 1 2023 Contenders are Complete

All the teams have revealed their cars and drivers for the Formula 1 2023 season. Here’s what the grid is going to look like.

There’s less than a month left to go before the first race of the Formula 1 2023 season officially goes underway, and all the teams are ready to get their contenders on the grid.

With all the cars and the drivers ready for the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5, here’s your preview of what this year’s grid is set to look like.

1. Red Bull

The Car: Red Bull Racing launched their 2023 contender, the RB19, last February 3 at an official launch event in New York City.

The launch was a spectacle for Red Bull fans in the Big Apple. But sparklers and big reveals aside, the real question is: Will this take the defending champions back to the top once again?

The Drivers: Nothing new in the Red Bull garage in 2023. Two-time World Champion Max Verstappen will still be racing alongside teammate Sergio Perez.

However, one thing is new: Red Bull is welcoming back Daniel Ricciardo as the third driver for the team.

2. Ferrari

The Car: Ferrari’s SF-23 is their love letter to their fans — or at least, that’s what we figure as they decided to launch their 2023 F1 car on Valentine’s Day.

What better day to celebrate the iconic red car?

The Drivers: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are Ferrari’s dynamic duo once again for 2023. And as they drove around the track in the SF-23 in front of the fans for the first time, it sounded like they were happy to still be around.

3. Mercedes

The Car: After sporting the Silver Arrows look in 2022 with a silver livery, Mercedes is back in black with the new Mercedes-AMG W14.

The Drivers: The German team has a double-British lineup this year with seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and George Russell their 2023 fighters to the track. Do they have what it takes to bring Mercedes back to the top?

4. Alpine

The Car: Alpine was the last team to reveal their 2023 contender, and the bright pink-and-blue livery of their A523 definitely closed the lineup with a bang.

The Drivers: Esteban Ocon is back with the team for a third season, but joining him this year will no longer be veteran Fernando Alonso — Pierre Gasly has found a new home with Alpine.

5. McLaren

The Car: If you loved Alpine’s bright blue-and-pink look, you’re probably a fan of the orange-and-blue livery of McLaren’s MCL60. We can’t wait to see these colors zooming on the track.

The Drivers: McLaren’s household name Lando Norris will be joined by a brand new face this year: rookie Oscar Piastri. We’re excited to see how their dynamic plays out.

6. Alfa Romeo

The Car: It looks like Ferrari won’t be the only red car on the track this year — Alfa Romeo is putting up their red hot contender.

The Drivers: Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu are back with Alfa Romeo for another season, and they certainly look happy with the team’s new look.

7. Aston Martin

The Car: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Aston Martin is back on the grid with their opulent green livery on their AMR23. But for the Formula 1 2023 season, they look ready to level up with ‘new energy.’

The Drivers: Lance Stroll is back with Aston Martin for the third season, but he’s got a new, experienced partner driving alongside him: two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso.

8. Haas

The Car: The American-owned Haas team is coming into the year following a promising 2022 season where they finished eighth. After launching the new VF-23 in their factory, we’re excited to see if this beast has what it takes to move higher up the pecking order.

The Drivers: After acting as a reserve driver for the past several seasons, Nico Hulkenberg now has a permanent seat with Haas alongside Kevin Magnussen.

9. AlphaTauri

The Car: AlphaTauri wins the award for most fashionable launch, as they presented their 2023 contender, the AT04, right in the middle of New York Fashion Week.

The Drivers: To match their high-fashion car launch, AlphaTauri’s got two high-fashion drivers — Yuki Tsunoda and rookie Nyck De Vries — walking the streets of New York City before the start of the new season.

10. Williams

The Car: Finishing off the Formula 1 2023 grid, Williams launched their new car, the FW45, in hopes of finally climbing up the ladder.

The Drivers: With a new driver, Logan Sargeant, joining Alex Albon’s talents and efforts for the team, Williams is ready to take on 2023. Do they look ready?
