The Filipinas are facing these teams in the 2023 World Cup group stage
Today, the much-awaited FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup Draw finally took place. With this, all groups for the next year’s tournament are now in place. The Filipinas, who are competing in their first World Cup, now know who they will be facing in the group stage.
All teams were drawn from four different pots, and all teams were placed in their respective pots depending on their world rankings.

Based on today’s draw, the Philippine Women’s National Football Team was the third team to be drawn into Group A for their World Cup debut. As a result, they will be competing against New Zealand, Norway, and Switzerland in the group stage of the tournament.
Positioned third in their group, they are set to open their debut World Cup campaign against Switzerland. The Filipinas are ranked 53rd in the world while Switzerland is 21st.

As for the rest of the group, New Zealand is ranked 22nd and Norway is 12th in the world.
In next year’s World Cup beginning in July, each group will compete in a single round-robin. Following this, the top two teams per group after the group stage will be advancing to the knockout stage. This will be followed by the quarterfinals, the semifinals, and the finals.
