The road to Japan starts here as the 2026 Asian Games Qualifiers for MLBB kicks off on June 18 at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore. 22 nations will battle for three days to determine the 12 teams flying to Japan this August.

The 22 national teams participating in the 2026 Asian Games Qualifiers have been divided into four distinct groups, each based on their region of Asia. The Southeast Asia group contains Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. West Asia has Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman. Central Asia has Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Finally, South and East Asia has Nepal, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Mongolia, and Pakistan.

Each group will play in a best-of-three, single round robin format. Teams will be ranked based on the total points accumulated from their group-stage matches. The top teams from each group will advance based on the qualification rules: five teams from Southeast Asia, and two teams from West, Central, South, and East Asia. A decider match will then take place between the third place teams from West Asia and South and East Asia. 

This is a momentous moment for MLBB and esports as a whole. The 2026 Asian Games represents another big step towards representation on the Olympic stage and another chance for different athletes to bring glory and honor to their country through the power of esports.
