It’s a tougher setting than his previous league but Nets wouldn’t have it any other way.
It’s been a bumpy ride so far in the MPL PH S16 for Omega’s Nets as the team is currently caught in the middle of the standings. Previously, Kenneth “Nets” Barro was playing in the Malaysia league on grand finals contender teams. His stint with the HomeBois and Team Vamos has given him a taste of what it’s like in the top tier but back home it’s different.
Omega Esports is the perennial middle-of-the-pack team and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon. The MPL PH is arguably the fiercest MLBB league in the world and it can be a shock to both new and old players entering it. That’s not a problem for Nets though as that’s exactly what he wants.

Give and take ang ginagawa. Ok naman ako sa Philippines.”
A Different Level of Play
Considering that Nets has experienced the upper strata of competitive MLBB, one has to wonder how he feels moving back to play for a struggling team. Turns out he’s actually looking for that struggle – something that’ll challenge him.
That’s not to say that the region itself is weak. We’ve seen time and again how a team like SRG.OG can easily compete against the best in the world. But we also hear a lot about how the competitiveness of the Philippines in MLBB is on a different level. Perhaps that’s the level that Nets wants to challenge himself with.

Lahat ng bagay nagagawa pag nagsipag kami at pananampalataya kay God,” said Omega’s Nets with a laugh.
And as he mentioned before, his confidence has absolutely not waned. It’s going to be difficult to overcome the top teams in the Philippines but there’s not a shred of doubt in Nets that they can do it.
“Same lang kami kumakain ng kanin. Kung sino pinakahanda, siya yung mananalo. Sipag and effort lang at ibibigay sa yo yung panalo.”
