It took a while, but the Young GOAT is back on the hunt for another world championship.
The rest of the world better watch out, as Team Liquid’s KarlTzy is heading for M7 — and he’s hungry for another M-series trophy.
Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno is the first professional MLBB player to win two M-series world championships. The first time was at M2 in 2021 with Bren Esports, then again at M4 in 2023. He’s fallen short numerous times since then, but he’s finally back, and with Team Liquid, he’s better than ever.
“Sobrang tuwang-tuwa ako at proud sa sarili ko na naka-achieve ulit ako ng ganitong bagay,” said Team Liquid’s KarlTzy. “Ayaw ko sayangin yung ganitong opportunity so ibibigay ko yung best ko.”
KarlTzy is considered by many as the best MLBB player in the world, so much so that he’s been recognized as the Face of MLBB. There’s no denying his skill in the game, but there’s also no denying his three-year M-series hiatus. Many teams have gotten the better of KarlTzy and his crew in the past, even straight up denying his chance for more world championships, but that doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
“Wala lang yon kasi may dalawang [world championships] na ako. So ngayon pwede ko na siya idagdag,” said Team Liquid’s KarlTzy. His casual tone belies the overflowing confidence he has in taking another M-series trophy.
Job’s Not Done
Even though Team Liquid are celebrating their third MPL PH victory, they still have more work ahead of them. M7 doesn’t take place till early 2026, but they still have the Southeast Asian Games waiting for them in December.
It’s a heavy burden to represent the Philippines in two major international tournaments back-to-back, but once again, KarlTzy’s confidence knows no bounds.
“Sobrang ready na nga kami. Halos two to three weeks na nga kaming tuloy-tuloy na naglalaro ng MLBB,” said Team Liquids’ KarlTzy. He fully believes in his and his team’s capability to succee,d and that’s a dangerous thing for his opponents.
“Binibigay namin yung best namin kasi hindi namin alam kailan kami babalik sa ganitong spot na ‘to, so sobrang motivated kami.”
