A new season means new possibilities for these world class teams.

The competition is going to be fierce in MPL PH Season 17 as every team in the league is refreshed and raring to fight.

We’ve still got the same eight teams but they’ve all got something different this season. The race for the championship will be tight, and we’ve identified three teams we think everyone should keep an eye on this season.

Team Falcons PH

The Falcons were faltering for the entirety of last season then got a second wind towards the end. While their recovery was impressive, it’s a far cry from the championship caliber team we know them for.

MPL PH Season 17 might be a return to form as they got to key acquisitions. The return of legendary coaching duo Francis “Ducky” Glindro and Vrendon “Vren” Pesebre could signal the return of the M5 world championship team. Yes, we’re missing Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel but Salic “Hadji” Imam should be more than capable of holding his own in the Mid Lane.

Twisted Minds

We mentioned before that every team is bringing something new this season and that’s technically true with Twisted Minds. Aside from a change in the sixth man, Twisted Minds is running it back with the same starting five from last year.

This is part of coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza’s longstanding philosophy of letting his players learn and grow through experience. They made it to playoffs last season, so expectations are they make a deeper run in MPL PH Season 17.

Team Liquid and ONIC Philippines

This one’s kinda cheating but they both share something in common. As the two teams who’ll be fielding the Philippines’ first imports, everyone is naturally keeping a close watch on them.

Will Sultan “AeronnShikii” Muhammad and Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto be a bane or boon for their respective teams? We’ll only find out the answer once MPL PH Season 17 has run its course.
