With their old coaching staff in tow, the Falcons are looking to soar again this season.
MPL PH Season 17 is going to be a redemption season for Team Falcons and their new team captain Owgwen as old faces rejoin the squad. World champion coaches Francis “Ducky” Glindro and Vrendon “Vren” Pesebre are teaming up with last season’s coach Mohammad “Moody” Samal to whip the boys back in shape following their disastrous run in Season 16.
“Sobrang excited ako this season,” said Team Falcons’ Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo. “Kasi doon namin makikita kung productive ba ‘yung naging practice namin at mate-test kung gaano kami gumaling.”

It’s no secret that Team Falcons’ performance took a nosedive last season. They were able to turn it around a bit towards the end but it’s still a far cry from how they once were.
“Siguro after nanalo kami sa mga tournaments namin, naging complacent kami,” reflects Owgwen on their Season 16 troubles. “Tsaka over time nawawala ‘yung fundamentals namin. Doon siguro nagsimula ng downfall namin. Yung mga maliit na bagay na hindi namin masyadong sineseryoso na nag-build up hanggang pumanget yung laro namin.”
This is why Owgwen gives massive props to their new coaching staff for helping them find their groove again. With their help, he believes that Team Falcons will be back in winning form for MPL PH S17.
“Sobrang laki ng tulong ng mga coaches. Kasi kaming mga players, minsan may tendency na tingin mo na tama ka pero may better ways pala na pwede mo gawin. May better view yung mga coaches sa ganong mga bagay. Kaya ngayon, mine-make sure ni Coach Vren, Coach Moody, at Coach Ducky na at least [by] 1 percent, nagi-improve kami everyday.”
