When three of the most decorated MLBB coaches in the world are happy to help this upstart, then you know he’s good.
The SIBOL MLBB Men’s team is pulling out all the stops for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games and from the coaching staff to the players, they only accept the best.
It’s a bit curious then that the head coach for the SIBOL MLBB Men’s team will be Allec “SN4P” Alvarado. Coach SN4P has good ideas and a clear vision when it comes to directing a team. However, he is still rather green in the role, especially when compared to the three supporting coaches he has by his side. He has not participated in any international tournaments yet and his track record in the MPL PH is unimpressive. Some might say he might not be ready for the role but SIBOL believes otherwise.
All members of the SIBOL MLBB team are chosen through the national qualifiers – no one is picked or recommended. You have to earn your spot to represent your country and the results show that coach SN4P is worthy. And when decorated mentors like Michael “Arcadia” Bocado, Francis “Ducky” Glindro, and Denver “Yeb” Miranda are ready to go to bat for SN4P, then there might be something special in the young coach.
The three coaches gave a rather candid response when asked about SN4P’s capability to lead the SIBOL MLBB Men’s team.
“Well, sabi ni coach Ducky na pogi siya,” said coach Arcadia, all smiles. It’s clear with the way they banter that this coaching team is already comfortable with working together.
Seeing the Potential
“May multiple MPL experience na [si SN4P],” continued coach Arcadia. “He coached SMART Omega and I see the potential in him to be a top tier coach. I think this is the perfect moment for him to show his talents and skills.”
“It’s the perfect opportunity para ipakita paano siya mag-coach. Kitang-kita ‘yun sa qualifiers. What he experienced in those 14 plus matches was gruesome and productive. Training kaagad ‘yon para sa MPL! He definitely deserves this spot.”
Added Coach Yeb, “Napapansin ko na si SN4P nung nasa Omega pa lang siya. Maganda ‘yung drafting niya. And he’s young, so syempre maraming fresh ideas ‘yan especially sa technical side. Baka may bagong plays na gusto niya gamitin, kasi baka outdated na ‘yung sa amin! Iba talaga ‘yung pagi-invent niya ng mga plays, so pwede namin gamitin ‘yun.”
“Honestly, I’ve been idolizing these coaches for so long,” said coach SN4P. “It’s going to be my first international tournament so I’ll really need their help. It’s all about collaborating, about support and helping one another.”
While there’s no denying that the coach SN4P has earned his SIBOL MLBB head coach spot, there’s still many questions about how he’ll perform not just at an international level, but on the Olympic stage as well. At least he recognizes his weaknesses and is ready to lean on the veterans when he needs their guidance.
“I’m just really excited – nothing else to it,” said coach SN4P, brimming with quiet confidence. “I want to get it over with and bring us the gold medal.”
