MPL PH Season 17 Makes History with Introduction of Championship Rings
A partnership like this doesn’t stop with just one prestigious project.
There’s excitement in the air for MPL PH Season 17 as for the first time in the league’s history, as this season’s winners will be awarded a championship ring. Together with international jewellery brand Fairrie, the MPL PH continues to grow both competitively and commercially.
Fairrie first made a splash in the MLBB esports scene when they first made the M6 World Championship rings. This partnership earned them international recognition and even won them multiple awards. They were brought back for M7 and now they’re looking to tap into the world’s best MLBB region.
“The talks didn’t start immediately but it was already a partnership that we were seeing,” said Lee Viloria, PH Esports Head of Business Development and Partnership at MOONTON Games. “From a global event, they were looking to branch out into local markets.”

“Before Fairrie looks at an opportunity, they first do their research. It’s actually due diligence for Fairrie as a brand – they study the local market and its opportunities before diving into the local region.”
A Historic First
The design for the MPL PH’s first ever championship rings is simple yet effective. By incorporating symbols of the Philippine flag and references to the league’s eight-team field, the MPL championship rings boldly proclaim where it’s from and what its wearer has achieved.
“Fairrie doesn’t outsource any of their designs,” explains Lee. “Julius See’s sons are the designers of the rings, so we were both open to different concepts. So in terms of conceptualizing the design, it was very collaborative on both ends.”

While having our own championship rings is already a big milestone, that’s not all for this partnership. Lee could barely contain her excitement when asked if there’s more in store with Fairrie.
“Yes, definitely! We are starting first with launching the partnership with the championship rings but this is just the tip of the iceberg,” she said.
We’re eagerly waiting what else Fairrie and the MPL PH have waiting down the line.
