The Saudi based organization gets one more chance at the MSC trophy.

MSC 2026 is finally ready to get started as Team Falcons MENA (Middle East and North Africa) takes the Wildcard slot to bring the participating teams to an even 16. The Saudi team clinched the final spot after a neck-to-neck grand final against The Huns Esports.

Team Falcons MENA qualifies for MSC Main Stage

The MSC 2026 Wildcard had 10 teams split into two groups. Each team plays a best-of-one, single round robin within their group to determine which one moves in the tournament. Top of the group gets a bye into the decider stage while the bottom gets eliminated. Meanwhile those who remain have to prove themselves in the gauntlet stage.

In the gauntlet stage, teams play two separate best-of-three, king-of-the-hill brackets. The two teams to make it out will then join the remaining top placing teams in the decided stage – a single elimination, best-of-three bracket where only one will make it to the MSC 2026 main stage.

Proving Their Worth

All of this is to say that Team Falcons MENA has definitely earned the right to play in MSC 2026. While it’s arguable that the team had an easier group due to Verso Time withdrawing from the tournament, they still had to go through the same gauntlet and decider matches as every team in the Wildcard.

Special mention goes to Filipino import Bien “Boyet” Chumecera for an exceptional performance during the Wildcard grand final. Muath “Cuffin” Alkoriani was also a beast in the Mid Lane, leading the takedowns in the entire Wildcard tournament.

Now all that’s left is to see how high Falcons MENA can fly once MSC 2026 begins on July 22.
