From last season’s sixth place finish to fighting for the top two, the Falcons have found their wings again.
With the conclusion of the MPL PH Season 17 regular season, Team Falcons have rediscovered their championship-level play as they finish second in the standings. With the level of play they’ve shown, the Falcons are in a prime position to be one of our MSC 2026 representatives and also possibly deny Team Liquid their third straight MPL championship.
“Expected naman,” Analyst Vrendon “Vren” Pesebre said on the team’s regular season results in an interview with the media.
“We’re always trying our best kahit na rocky yung performance namin. Actually, good thing ‘yun, na may namamansin sa mga weaknesses namin. Dahil dun, nade-develop yung laro namin even further kaysa puro malinis na panalo lang. Feeling ko pangit kung ganun.”
While Analyst Vren sees a shakiness, there’s no denying that this is a stark improvement over Season 16. Last season, they barely squeaked into the playoffs and were knocked out just as quickly. Now that they’ve secured the upper bracket advantage Team Falcons has effectively reminded everyone why their players are world class.

“Wala naman kaming choice kundi bumawi lang,” said EXP Laner David “Flap” Canon. “Dun sa pagkakatalo namin, sobrang dami namin natutunan. Dagdag motivation din kasi may bagong player kami and may bumalik na coaches, so syempre gusto ko i-champion sila lahat!”
This is also a return to form for Mid Laner Salic “Hadji” Imam. He lost his edge after leaving Blacklist International but now he’s setting his sights on another MPL championship.
“Hindi ko talaga na-expect na ganito ‘yung magiging results namin,” said Hadji. “Parang nage-enjoy lang talaga ako pag kasama ko sila. Sobrang confident talaga ako na kaya namin pagsabayan yung mga ibang teams.”
Team Falcons are already flying high, let’s see how far they will soar once the playoffs starts.
